Chris recently started a new job as a software developer at Three Rivers Technologies, a technology consulting firm in La Crosse. Even though he is no longer working from home, the career move brought with it a substantial raise, fewer hours, and less stress. He also continues to gig regularly at local bars and festivals with Heavy Water, a local cover band. Anna is spending the summer conducting research on disparities between male and female nudity in film.

Our latest news is that we recently finished remodeling our bathroom. We were so eager for the renovation that we forgot to take pictures of the room's humble beginnings, but pictures of the finished product may be viewed on the house page. Otherwise, we are just trying to get through what locals are calling the worst Wisconsin winter in recent memory. At work, Chris has begun to focus on new product development, and he recently completed his first solo project. He also auditioned for a local cover band, and they will begin playing gigs together in the coming months. Anna is settling into her job at Viterbo and enjoying her growing familiarity with colleagues, students, and her courses.

It's time for an update! Anna's first year at Viterbo was exhausting but extremely rewarding. She is spending the summer break
completing research projects and prepping for next year. Chris has been traveling more extensively as his job has begun to focus more on consulting and client interaction. He spends most of his free time doting on our first organic vegetable garden (which is thriving) and our newly landscaped lawn. In June, we enjoyed an unforgettable cruise to Alaska with Anna's family. Be sure to check out the pictures on our travel page.

Welcome to our new website!
The past six months have been busy, but exciting. In May, Anna defended her dissertation and finally graduated with her Ph.D. In June, we moved to La Crosse, Wisconsin and into our new house. We spent the summer months getting settled in and adjusting to the responsibilities of home-ownership.
Anna started her new job as Assistant Professor of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Viterbo University this fall. Chris is still designing software and working out of the house, but his job has required him to travel more lately. As we brace for our first Wisconsin winter, we are enjoying all of the welcome changes in our lives. |
